Cheryl Cohen
Counsellor and Psychotherapist
About

Talking Therapy
I offer counselling to individuals aged 16 and over at all stages of life, and I welcome people with diverse lived experiences. Whether you are seeking support with a particular difficulty or looking for a space for deeper self-exploration, I offer both short-term, focused counselling and longer-term therapy.
My practice affirms Gender, Sexuality, and Relationship Diversity (GSRD), and I welcome people of all gender identities, sexual orientations and relationship structures. I offer a space where you can feel heard, respected and free from assumption or judgment.
I have more than 20 years of experience supporting adults facing complex or challenging circumstances across public and charity-sector roles, including custodial settings, refugee resettlement, and witness support in the courts. This experience continues to shape my practice as a psychotherapist, particularly when working with people affected by the criminal justice process, including victims-survivors seeking support through pre-trial therapy.
